I absolutely love the concept. Only problem is that YOU CAN'T CONTINUE! It just frustrates me. Other than that, very good!
Author's Response:
Thanks! Yeah other people have mentioned they'd like a save or continue option, I'll think about adding this in future versions.

I absolutely love this game! The game looks great, it plays really nicely and intensely and I love how the different characters have their own strengths, weaknesses and storylines, among other things.
However, there are some problems that caused me to give this game a 9.
For one thing, the Madness henchmen have been really buggy since Fancy Pants was added. My goodness, they can't even jump properly! Also, I noticed that in the Portal, there is some pink on the right and bottom of the screen.
Other that the problems above, this is a good game, and it deserves the award it got.

Overall, despite the lack of sound and a preloader, this was a pretty good Flash movie. It had a good moral to it and nice cultural references, among other good things in this flash.
My only criticism is, as I mentioned, the lack of sounds and a preloader. I also criticize the amound of motion-tweening used during the TV sequence. It just makes the news about the deaths like a clown show.
This was a really nice flash movie, but if there was voice acting in it, this would be really nice.
Author's Response:
So just what is a preloader? How do I add sound?

I understand that you are trying to help people solve a Rubik's Cube, but it's just too difficult to follow the tutorial.
There are just so many things wrong. For one thing, the pictures are unclear. Most of the pictures of the Rubik's Cube are difficult to see due to light. Also, it's difficult to follow the instructions in the beginning since you can't stop the movie. Finally, your grammar is wrong.
If you make this movie more of a slideshow and fix what I mentioned, you can surely help a lot of people.

You did a really good job on this parody. I almost guarantee anybody who loves (or hates) good ol' Nintendo will laugh at this. I love most of the parodies, especially the F-Zero, some Pokemon parodies and the Earthbound ones. However, I don't understand the 8th scene (after the first F-zero parody). Other that that, good job.
P.S. The easter egg is in the boobs of BOTH the ladies in the main menu

Although the animation wasn't that good, it's the very reason why it's funny ( talking like Terrance and Philip? Love it!). Anyone can laugh at the randomness of this. It deserves to have the honor of popularizing Animutation.
P.S.
When the group of kids are singing the song (after the old man), just as they're about to say "Hyakugojyuuichi", right clikc and press forward a few times; you'll see a subliminal message!

Shift 2 improves the previous game so well.
For one thing, the new elements, the gravity switch and the checkered walls, are nice additions to the series. The graphics, just like the original, are just black and white; unlike other games where this is often criticized, the color scheme is very appropriate for the simple nature of Shift 2. Medals, unlockables and high score boards add a tremendous amount of replay value to this game. However, the best feature is the level editor. With it, you can show off your levels to teh internets and give everyone a hard time.
Overall, this is a really good game and it deserves to be in the top 50. Should you make another sequel, I hope you keep the simplistic look in the gameplay while making the game a tad more difficult.

It's a good game. Don't believe in those who say the game is repetitive (read the title of this review) and the music sucks. The music is totally appropriate for the game. Even then, you can still turn off the music in the options and instead listen to whatever you like.
Now, about the gameplay... very addictive. Seriously, it's addictive, not repetitive. Instructions should tell you what you should do in the game. It shouldn't spoonfeed you about everything inthe game. It should introduce you to the concepts of the game. Deal with it, those who are so dumb they rate this game very low cause they can't understand the instructions.
One thing I would like to criticize is the fact that if you lose, whether you saved or not, it would take quite a while to take you back at the menu. Also, it DELETES your save. I suggest to cut the time it takes to take you to the menu. Better yet, you can code it in such a way that you can go back to the menu whenever you want. Also, let the save stay when you get game over. Other that that, excellent.

You did a really nice job for a sequel, since most sequels tend to go downhill. Gameplay is addictive. Also, at least you have the decency to allow skipping of cutscenes in story mode. Good job.
P.S. 1000th review about a good game! Yay!

Don't listen to those who say that the game sucks. It's a good game!
For one thing, you ACTUALLY made something based on SSB. The sound effects are really accurate and the music is really good, just like the series. Also, you did a good job on the characters. Sprites are nice and gameplay rocks.
However, there are some flaws as well. For one thing, the most infamous one is the forward trick. If one right clicks and presses options, then right clicks again and presses forward, it would take you TO THE NEXT LEVEL (unless you are in Break the Targets), therefore making unlocking characters a breeze. Also, the AI is rather primitive. This is very prevalent in the 3 and 15 minute melees. If you go to the topmost platform and keep on jumping, nobody will ever go there, thus making the job easier. There are also times when for some reason, you just fly off the stage like a freaking rocket...even at percentages like 70%. Worst of all, this game isn't 2-player friendly, unlike SSB. The screen only scrolls with the first player, so if the second player is standing still, and the first player's running away, P2's screwed. Finally, the sprites aren't somehow cut that well. Although I haven't used sprites for games (or made any movie or game, at that...), it's obvious that the sprites aren't cropped properly. There are some sprites that move really far if you only tap left or right.
So there ya go. Overall, it's a good game to kill time. I suggest to fix the bugs, crop the sprites properly, fix the AI and just fix what I mentioned. Do that and you got a good game.
